How it works
Pace is time divided by distance: pace = finish time ÷ distance, and the other way round, finish time = pace × distance. A mile is 1.609344 kilometres, so a pace per mile is the pace per kilometre times 1.609344. The splits are even: the time you would pass each kilometre or mile at the same pace all the way.
Getting the most from it
- The race buttons use the standard distances: 5 and 10 kilometres, 21.0975 for the half marathon and 42.195 for the marathon.
- To plan a race, switch to "My pace", type the pace you want to hold and read the finish time and the split for each kilometre or mile.
- Switching between kilometres and miles converts the distance you typed, so a 10 km entry becomes 6.2137 miles.
